Controversy swirling around the Australian Writers Guild and Screenrights, the government royalties collection agency, has left Seahorse President Larry LeClair with mixed emotions. “As a writer, I fully support the AWG legal action to seek full recovery of all royalties owed to writers by Screenrights. As a producer, I can only say our relationship with Screenrights has been excellent.” A lawsuit filed by the AWG is expected to make its way through the Australian court system in the coming months.
