Voices in Time Better the
Second Time
Around
The second cycle of Seahorse
Entertainment’s history series Voices In Time:
Great Speeches of The 20th Century (episodes
14-26) has proven to be an even bigger success than the
first cycle of the series, released in 2006. The
programs have been cleared in a number of international
territories including Australia, the U.K., the Middle
East, Korea, Thailand, Japan and has sales pending in
both Russia and the United States. “I guess it’s not all that surprising, but
it certainly is gratifying” said Seahorse President Larry LeClair.
“We put a lot of time and energy into focusing this
cycle of the series to meet the demands of
the international marketplace and that’s clearly paying off.”
As the series title implies Voices In Time:
Great Speeches of The 20th Century uses famous
speakers and speeches as a departure point as it
explores crucial moments from the last century where a
single speaker and sometimes a single speech changed the
course of world affairs.
“The series is a true crossover, with sales to
broadcasters as well as in the educational and home
retail markets,” said LeClair. “We hope to build on the
momentum we’ve achieved with new cycles in the Voices In
Time strand. Of these, the most exciting for me is
Voices In Time: The News which will
look at how news coverage constantly transformed itself
over the last century to the point where the medium
often truly became the message.”
